Default Hard bag keys or new lock

I just purchased some new hard bags. They have the locks but no key. Does the MOCO sell new locks and keys?

I bought a set of bags with locks but no keys. I took them to more than one locksmith. They said they could not make up a key. They can copy a key, but could not make a barrel key from nothing. They claimed it took a speicalized piece of equipment that no one had.

You can buy new locks and keys from HD, but they aren't cheap.

If you take your original key number to any HD dealer, they can order you a new lock set with keys that are the same as your current key. About $52. Easy to switch the locks.

Did you buy them from a private party or from a dealer? If they were new they should have come with thier own keys. Like the folks said, if you want them to match your bike key .. you'll have to fork out the bucks. []

I had the same problem awhile ago. I found a locksmith where I live that was able to make a key from the lock. It only cost about $15.00 or so if I remember correctly.
