Default have guards need rails. Fitment Question

Fellas,

I have the saddle bag gaurds on the bike already, I want to add the rails. I am going to have them wrapped in leather by Captain itch when I do get them so if they're used I do not care. My question is that I see alot of the rails on ebay for a good price most if not all say fitment up to 2008, and they dont list the FLHTK, I have a 2010 Ultra limited. Are the UC and the limited really that different, besides motor???
How do rails attach to the saddle guards do I need to buy the new guards as well as rails, or can I just get the rails and does it really matter what year, I mean I know that HD changed the frame but does this also to pertain to the way the rails and gaurds install. What years can I use and how do they attach. Thanks for the help.

The Guards have holes in them and the rails bolt on through the holes. The only way your going to mount the rails is to either drill the holes or to buy a set that has the guards included.

I'm not real sure but I believe the new frame models use different part numbers. Kind of funny, I had rails and removed them. (had to leather wrap my guards to cover the holes) You don't have them and are adding them. Seems we all want what we don't have.LOL

My Nostalgia guard rails just clamp around the guard with 2 allen screws. No drilling holes.
