Finally got around to finishing my handlebar swap. I think it turned out rather nice. These are the 577's (12.5 in.) bars. It went a lot easier than I thought.

Looks really good, especially with your inner fairing. Good Job!:icon_photo:

Looks great. I have the bars waiting to be put on when I pickup my 2012 SG. How long of cables did you put on? Was told I needed +6 cables, just curious if that was right.

Yep, +6 on everything. I went with Magnum Shielding cables, nice stuff. I was a little nervous going into this project, but with the manual as back-up, it was a piece of cake. Just take your time. If you get frustrated, walk away and come back later. Getting it out today for a good ride.

Looks good. I want to do some 10" or 12" apes, but I live in Colorado and like to ride when it's cold. At least down into the low 40's. So If I do apes, my hands will loose all the fairing protection my RG offers. If I lived in one of the warmer states, I'd already have some on the bike.

Thanks!!! I was going to go with the same cables as well. I will take my time, just going to be interesting dealing with TBW and ABS for the first time.

Can I use the stock wires and re-route then and just get +6 brake and clucth cables?

Looks great nice job. I went with 16's and love them.

It's a good feeling to tackle a job that you've never done before, and frankly are somewhat nervous about. Looks like you did a great job. Very sharp.
