I like the C&C. I am a little taller than you. Its a very well made seat. Why don't you call them and talk to them. They answered all of my questions and had great customer service. I've got about 30,000 miles on the seat and it still looks new. Feels great. You might see if there is someone in your area that can check it out. I've had a few shorter guys sit on it and felt like it was just right for them.

My '07 Fatboy came with the HD Reach Seat mounted and she gave me the original. I'm 5'9 with smaller build. I love the fit/reach of the seat; little close to tank at first, but used to it. Only downer is pretty uncomfortable after an hour. Since it's only vinyl, I'm a little inclined to try taking it apart, shave foam off with an electric knife and put an inch of some sort of gel-foam; might be THE perfect seat. Put the original FB seat back on for about an hour - what a horrific POS - WAY to wide, really, really uncomfortable. - Fat tires, fat Freight train nacelle - cool; fat seat - ich! Cheers, Kevin.

Reach here too. 52619-08A. I tried the extended reach but I was too far forward, this one drops you down but does not move you forward. After the 1.5" suspension drop this seat finished it up nicely. 5'7"/30" inseam. Still has some padding to it but am thinking a sheepskin cover might be worth it for long haul.

It's very comfortable for me and the wife. It's a little wide for me but I do OK. I may get the sides shaved a little. Got to be real careful about where I park. I can back the bike up pretty good on flat ground but it's a real biotch backing uphill.
Mean City Cycles will take care of this for you; about $100. www.meancitycycles.com.

They've done two seats for me and both came back much better than when they left.

I'm 5'6" and just picked up an HD Low seat this weekend. Rode to work today (about 45 minutes) and zero complaints. Plenty comfy, and definitely helped lower my heels. The seat also is a bit better defined, and I don't find myself sliding back like I was before.

I'm still wanting to lower it another inch-ish. Curious if adjusting the air shocks will help with that?
