I got caught in a torential downpour the other day. The fuel gauge fogged up and quit working all together. I checked all the connections on the gauge and at the sender and everything seems to be ok. Took the gauge out of the fairing and blew it off with compressed air but still no response. It's stuck on full and the low fuel light comes on when it gets low. Any thoughts? Do I need to replace the gauge?

 

Was it fog or smoke?

 

Had that happen to mine, check to see if it is getting voltage. if it is go ahead and replace it.

 

More than likely its the guage if the light still is working
