If you want realistic dyno numbers then run it on a dyno that actually gives real numbers. You put it on a "happy" Dynojet and you'll get "happy" numbers. Will that make you feel good? I don't know.

Personally, I'd rather know what the motor is really making and tune for best power across the RPM range. I just had my 107 tuned on a Factory Pro dyno and it made 97hp/107tq. Do I feel good about that? Damn right. The bike runs great and has tons of power. Would I have been happier if I went to a Dynojet and got a lesser tune but numbers in the 112hp/123tq range? No.

If you can wait a few weeks we're putting a 120r in my buddies 2010 Dyna right now. It will get tuned on a Factory Pro dyno in a few weeks and I'll give you the real numbers.

I already had a 120R tuned on a factory pro. Low 120s just as i said in previous posts in this thread. Thats what you get out of the 120Rs unless you go get an inflated dyno sheet from the dealer or someone that wants to look like a magic tuner. If you try to squeeze every last HP out of the 120R @ 6000+rpms you suffer on your ridability in real life conditions from what i have found with my 2. Funny that the tuner with the lowest numbers on a factory pro seems to pull and run better than the two tunes that show me big numbers from a Land & Sea /Dynojet 250I.

Yes, I totally agree with you. Sorry missed where you said you dyno'ed on a Factory Pro. Went back and still don't see it... but doesn't matter. I was going to go as far as to say a similar 120R build (TB, pipes, intake, injectors, etc.) on a similar bike with riders of equal capability - The 120R tuned to 120 hp/tq on the Factory Pro will spank the crap out of one tuned on a "happy" Dynojet to an inflated 135 hp/tq under all real world conditions: ridability, roll on acceleration, 1/4 mile. Take your pick.

I'll be damn happy if this 120R motor cracks 120 real hp/tq. The guy who tuned my 107 said that pretty much ALL 106's (107 is really 106.6ci) make between 103 and 106 lb/ft of torque. Cam choice can get you more hp. He should know as he's tuned plenty of them. But if tuner A gets you 106 lb/ft and tuner B with his "happy" Dynojet says he got you 125 lb/ft... and you don't know any better... who would you think is the better tuner? There are some guys out there using some pretty stupid correction factors on DJ's.

Edit: Duh... should have seen you're from Maine. I think we have the same tuner. ;-)

My Stock 120r made 134 uncorrected hp. Fuel mileage adveraged 38 in touring mode. That was tuned at jd's cycle works in Penn. I have since changed the cams to the tman 662-1 cams. I can tell you already with just a vtune on the street its making more torque. I will be posting numbers when I get It dyno tuned.
I can also tell you mine does get very hot when in traffic. I do have a hd oil cooler on it.

I will be keeping an eye out for those numbers.

Hey, is it true that the 120R doesnt have roller rockers?
