Help! I'm too short!
#42
Something else to take into consideration is the style of riding a person does and over all terrain. Is it very hilly with lots of tight twisties, straight and flat, long sweepers? Does the rider ride aggressive or at a more relaxed pace? Is the bike used for scooting around or are 1500-2000 mile trips a regular thing

lowering street glide
i"m short also, and have ridden every touring harley
reg. tour bike has
- has stock 13" shocks
-wider stock seat
street Glide
-stock shocks are 12" ( 1" shorter- if you put the lowering bracket,to drop shocks an additional 1",when you hit a pothole, your tire will rum the fender, and the wires inside can be damaged.-TOO DANGEROUS
***** -THE BEST WAY TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM IS TO INSTALL A KIT CALLED,---DROP SEAT KIT made by BaggerWerx. OR FBI co. *Check this out.*
you'll love it.
It drops your seat at least 3", WITHOUT ,compromising frame/road clearance.
AND YOU SIT INTO THE BIKE, not on top. This way you won't have problems with floorboard scraping on those tight turns, when you really need to lean.-SAFETY First.
--Street Glide Fairing is high on handle bars.(at times if seems top heavy,at end of day)
ROAD GLIDE CUSTOM
- has 12" shocks also
- Fairing is fixed, connected to frame, so that helps to keep the center of gravity, for rider(good thing)
hope all this helps
