I just looked at my 2011 and it looks like I have one of those baffels on the rear of the left pipe but the right one goes in about a foot and a half then stop's.
Did they change them?

Is this what was done. With the pipes still mounted you just took a 1 3/4 hole saw and from the outside you drilled it and it broke free? The piece you have pictured is what came out?

I did, here's the endcaps that come out when you cut the baffles out:

I didn't care for the sound but had to try it just to set my mind at ease about it. They sounded like a car with the muffler missing....a Harley should sound better than that.

You cannot drill out the baffles, you have to grind the spot welds off the end of the baffles to remove them.
so do I just grind down the tack welds and pull the whole core out?

What about the cats I see people saying to remove the cats too

Yes, go to full sak racing's website and they link a video showing how to remove them.

I removed my cat and wouldn't think of leaving it in for the mods I am doing.

Thumbs up

I went with this company to remove the CAT and the baffles. I am running ther ceramic pipes. Talk about sounding better, running better and dang do they ever look good. I will have to find a good pic to show the black pipes against my two tone, apple green and black 2011 Limited. I changed out the complete system in just under two hours and I suck as a wrench.

Here in Kansas we get alot of 100 plus degree days during the summer. I can actually ride my bike and not burn my stinking leg this year. Last year it sucked....90 degree weather and a CAT means slow roasting Thighs on a biker and passanger.
