lots of older threads on this, more for the 07-08,some had belt eating problems and stock belt worked for most.and its a pita to change.another option is the clutch basket evo offers a kit.a bit more pricey but easier to change and no belt problems.

Harley makes a 30t trans pulley for the tri glide (83595-11 ).

It's about half the cost of the Andrws or Baker 30t trans pulley. It's also made of steel, not aluminum, and although heavier, it would be arguably stronger. I'm planning on this mod for my bike this fall.

Good to know. I changed the rear sprocket from a 66T to a 68T and it helped. I'm thinking a 30T front would be about right. Don't want to lose my cruise control however. Don't think I would have to change the belt either. I know if I go to a 31T, my rear wheel will slide back to the original position with the original belt. (08 Ultra)

The harley pulley is low quality chinese steel, after a week it's rusty. The Baker steel is over a pound lighter and beautifully machined and anodized,Made in America. With the 50 bucks you save you can buy more chinese crap..............

I have used andrews 31 and 30 tooth sprockets for sale. I also have a brand new 139 tooth belt.
I have done this mod and it makes a major differance. Your cruise and 6th gear light do still work but will need a tuner to get the speedo back in spec. I have went back to the stock gearing with the 120r.
