Harley Backrest Spring
 

I have a Harley back rest on my 2010 Ultra. The backrest no longer springs back upright after I swing my leg over the rest to get on the bike. It just lays flat. The spring is intact and looks normal. Has anyone had this issue before and if so what was the fix.

I recently talked to The head of customer relations for Harley Davidson when I was at Daytona bike week 2016 he was not aware that those two springs that keep the seat from flopping were not available he gave me a case number and if we can get enough complaints on that then there will possibly be a recall . His name is Heath and he is located in Milwaukee Wisconsin phone number one 800 2582464 my case number is 270-4667 if you give him a call hopefully we can get this corrected because I have the same problem
