Default Can you add the intercom to Street Glide

Thinking of a 2012 SG but really like the headset intercom. Is there a upgrade kit available anywhere?

There are a lot of aftermarket intercoms out there...If you want to upgrade with Harley components it will get expensive...I think you will have to buy handle bar switches C.B. overlay Harness and the fuel tank center console.

Default Intercom

You can buy Scala Cardo Systems Q2 or G4 set and go wireless. Would be a lot cheaper, maybe $150 on ebay for the Q2.

The factory setup on the Ultra kept the wife happy with her own radio controls.

I added the intercom and cb to my classic. Got all the parts I needed off this forum. Just took awhile to get everything I needed.

HD offers two kits (77107-09 and 77108-09A) for adding intercom w/o a tour pak and w/o changing the tank console for adding the rider headset connector. I installed the 77108-09 kit because I was also installing the CB and described the installation in this thread:

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...tra-glide.html

My installation was more complicated because I was retrofitting the kit to my '04 so the left side handlebar switch harness connector needed to be changed, and a simple wiring mod had to be made; neither of these changes would be necessary on an '07 or newer model and installation is essentially a plug and play install.

If you have no interest in adding CB, get the 77107-09 kit--it will be less expensive overall since you won't need to purchase the non-Ultra overlay harness (NUOH, list price ~$129) required for the 77108-09A kit.

Good luck with your project.

I thought the harness was the same on all of the dressers after 2008?
