I ended up choosing the SE FatShotz mufflers for my '11 Ultra Classic due mainly to the appearance and only slightly louder sound than my stock mufflers. Well I've had them for about 2k miles now, and I think they are the perfect muffler for me - nice deep tone, but not obnoxiously loud. I think they've gotten slightly deeper and a little louder as they "broke in", so I am quite happy.

So I'm in one of those enclosed parking garages at the mall yesterday (don't ask, it wasn't by design!), and while riding round and round to the exit, I noticed that I was setting off one or more car alarms on each level. For some reason, I really liked that so I thought I would try an experiment. I came to a stop in the middle of one of the levels, put the bike in neutral, and started blipping the throttle to see what would happen. I could set off car alarms at will - imagine my deep sense of satisfaction! My wife just shook her head and muttered something about "boys and their toys", whatever that's supposed to mean. She obviously just doesn't get it....

I have those on my '11 ultra as well. Really love the sound, and the look. I've noticed mine getting a bit deeper and louder as they break in too. Perfect sound for a touring bike IMHO...

 

i new the wrap was almost shot on my klockwerks slipons so i pull the baffles and took remaining wrap off then put the back in. wow i really liked the sound and after riding to make sure i didnt need to re program my pc i decided to leave it this way. so i come home and pull out the flip video to recordthe sound the wife walks by shaking her head and tells me i am obssesed. i just laughed it off.

 

I like the sound of the FatShotz too. Lots of rumble but no bark.

 

I have a nightstick which is a single muffler similar to the fatshotz on my s.g.,love the way it sounds

 

I have over 15,000 miles on mine and love them! Only thing I have noticed is that my Black rings are brown now.....I think its just burnt on dirt, but its been thru the car wash a couple times and hasn't come loose. If it ever sits still long enough I'll see if it will come off....
