I had the kuryakyn ones on my ride for many years with no problems. I switched tho the HD ones, as I got a set for free from a friend that bought a new bike that already had them installed. I figured the black would match my new paint better.

I can tell you that I have noticed A LOT more heat with the HD ones. They do look better, but they are not as effective.

Edit: and oh yeah, the HD ones are a PITA to intall
