What's a Good Battery Tender?

Anybody know of a good battery tender? I have heard the best chargers are the slowest ones. I know Harley has some battery tenders but I am not big on Harley aftermarket parts so does anyone have any other tenders that are good?

I have the HD battery tender. It's made by someone else(I forget the name) and just
re-branded as HD. Works fine and cost about $40 I think.

The best on the market is a comapny called Battery Tender. I am pretty sure they make the HD model. I have been using two of them for 10 plus years. Bought off the internet at www.batterytender.com Also bought on for my dad a few years ago for X-mas.

Yep, that's the name I couldn't remember before. I buy a lot of stuff off the web to save money, but for
small ticket items like this I just get them at the dealer.

I swear by Battery Minder http://www.batterymart.com/batteryminder.php

It uses a high frequency pulse to desulphate the battery as well as keep it charged. I have the original battery in my 2000 Ultra. It's also completely revitalized my lawn tractor battery. Check it out in your research.

Also, the Optimate is great. Very good logic built-in for desulphating and leaving it plugged in. It is the endorsed tender by several metric makers. The array of indicator lights are nice. Like most others, it comes with the quick plug-in pigtail you can leave hooked to the battery.

Don't get just a trickle charger!

It's only about $10.00 more at the dealer. It's worth that much to get it across the counter and not have them claim out of warranty issues. It would cost you that much in frieght anyway.
