Default Question on baffle size.

Hi All,
I have a set of Rush slip ons with the 1.75" baffle size. They make different baffles ranging from 1.5" up to 2.5". What is the difference, if any, in noise and performance if I decided to go to a larger baffle?
Thanks,
Joe

I'm running Rush slip ons with 2" baffles....slightly louder than the 1.75".....
2.25" will again be louder and the 2.5" even louder.....
You may lose performance with the 2.25" & 2.5"....unless you have a fuel
management system ( kinda remembering what I read on here a while ago )

I really like the sound of the 2"....not obnoxious, but have a bark when
rolling on the throttle....

You can actually go to the Rush site and listen to the difference in baffle sizes. Granted, listening online versus in "real life" isn't exactly the same, but you can definitely hear a difference with the larger baffles.

When I had my '09 EGC, I had the 2" baffles. They sounded good, but I wanted it somewhat louder, however I never did buy the larger baffles though.

Now I've got an '11 RKC with stock exhaust. I definitely want it louder now. I'm thinking about doing the Fullsac ceramic header & muffler re-core.

Yeah I listened to those clips but its really hard to tell. I have an EMS system so I'd imagine it would automatically compensate. Any HP to be gained by going to a larger baffle or is it primarily for sound?

Not sure about any horsepower gains, but I wouldn't think so.
