Angry Compensator sprocket/Hard starting/b1006 b1007

Hello everyone.I recently had my bike in(Warranty work) and had the se compensator sprocket installed(or so the said they did). The noise in the primary seems to be a little better and not such a clunk when letting off the throttle. My problem is now after riding for a while, and bike is warm, when I go to start it again,it seems like it isnt going to start then I get a banging noise and it starts??

Any one out there had this issue? Any Ideas? I am now always getting Fault codes b 1006 , b 1007 as well?

Thanks for any help,

Dean....

You should not get the banging with the SE comp. My guess is they never installed the comp & charged you for it. Dealers will install the SE comp under warranty, providing you make up the difference in price between the stock & the SE. Did they charge you anything? If not, they prolly lied about installing the SE. They should NOT clunk.

best fix is compression release.

SE comp does not always fi this problem.

Problem is caused by compression build up that does not get a chance to bleed off. it happens in bikes with 9K + miles as a result of carbon build up which increases compression.

They charged me the $55 deductible as I bought the bike from the USA and transfered the extended warranty to myself. Would the thunder city baffles have any anything to do with this? Thanks for the advice ..

I had a few problems with the starter clutch also. Most likley caused by the bang from the old comp. It usually happened at gas station stops. It would grind then bang then start. I replaced it with a Lifetime Warrenty starter clutch and havent had a problen since.

soft 02-That is pretty much what it is doing. It's like it drags then bangs and starts, for lack of a better word.Still have extended warranty until 2013 so I guess it is going back again.Would be nice to get it fixed once and for all. Not as enjoyable riding it like this..

The OEM starter clutch sucks! I will post a link later but as long as its under warrenty its thier dime. After warrenty you can replace it with better parts.
