I had my 21's in my stock 88, then i built it into a 103 in my sig using the 21's . It pulls like a tractor from idle up to 4200 . I can shift to 6th at 50 mph and just roll the throttle on to pass. It's what it should have been the day i bought the bike!
How hard of a job is swapping out the cams? "Bolt in" sounds easy but what is really involved? Is it something that is doable? My Father has alot of tools.........He's a tv repair man. lol
I installed the TW21's, along w/ 95" flat top pistons & stage 1 head work....already had the DFO due to havin' the Ness big sucker a/c & Kerker "Pass-A-Truck" full flo mufflers long ago. I was simply AWED by the performance.....it's like puttin' a 4 barrel carb on a car that only had a 1 barrel.....really PULLS ya' down the road....and the mileage is as good if not a bit better than stock.....hell yeah!!
Glad to see folks are happy with the 21 cams. I am in the middle of changing from stock to 21's now. Sending heads out for polish on Monday. Doing work myself and has not been bad...just a lot of internet and service manual.
Glad you like it. A cam swap really wakes up the tourers regardless of which one you pick. I was amazed at the difference and the best loot I've spent in a long time.
Wondering why the 26's are better in a lighter bike?
Also always thought the 26's were better for 2-up riding?
Everytime I think I have my cam choice figured out I become lost again
