compression release valves?

for the record, are the automatic compression release valves in the 2011 103" bikes? according to my dealer there is not. i thought i read on here in a few places people mentioning that they do. when i did the 103" stage III kit on my cross bones i had to put them on. now i bought a 2011 flhx and was wondering if i put cams in if i also need release valves?

If your running a tq cam like the SE 255 or any cam that has an early close I would recommend you install them.If you don't have a good tune it will be hard to start.I wouldn't mess with the ACR's though,I would get the push button ones. The ACR's have been known to get stuck open, or closed!!!

they come standard in the 103 poer pak motor

i had the manual ones on my cross bones. they actually suggested them over the automatic ones. once or twice i really had to crack open the throttle to get them to close.

right, but if they are already there i don't need them..was just wondering how much i would have to put aside. since the dealers won't drill and tap the heads, and send them out to get done. if they are there it will save me some $$$$.

I think they are stock on 2012 bikes. Guy on ebay does MCR's for 125 and he eats shipping back to you. Bought a set of low mile take off heads and had them done. top notch job. think the company is vulcanworks
