Default Woods Cams--tw555--and valve noise

I am happy with Fuel Moto PC-V, stage 1 breather and Pro Tour slip ons, and am considering adding JackPot 2/1/2 headpipes and TW-555 Cams.

Heard from a wrench i trust that these are a very aggressive cam and the valve noise can be extreme...also hard on valves over time. Anyone had these issues with these products?

Talked to a dealer who is (of course) recomending SE stage ii or III.

PS--riding a 2011 FLHR. thanks!

The word is the cam circle is about 20 thousandths smaller than a normal cam so if you use stock pushrods they will make more noise. Use adjustable with the 555's to work this out.

I initially was going to use the Woods 555's but was told the ramps are pretty agressive, and as such cause valvetrain noise and that the lifters basically "fall" off the lobe.

So...i went with the SE 255 cams.

Sounds like the guys above, have allevaited some of the issue through pushrod adjustment.

They seem to be a very popular cam.

I sure like my SE cams though...

Somebody is blowin smoke. I can't remember how the stockers sounded but my 555's are not noisy. I actually get more noise through the air cleaner than valve noise.

Woods lifters and adj push tubes and it is quieter than stock by a bunch but I had 90,000 miles before I installed the cam. Smooooth as silk!
