Looking for some feedback from anyone who has installed one of these. Buddy has a '11 FLHX and loves to jockey with the throttle while taking off. Lag is killing him and would like to know if this product might help him.
I don't have one (last year of the cables, and glad I have them) but from other posters in the past that do, they have seemed to like it as it gets rid of that lag.
I am also very interested. V&H claims it works, and they tend to put out effective products. If it works half as good as they claim it does, I would probably pick one up.
I installed a Throttlepack on my 2010 Ultra Classic about 2 months ago. Plug-n-play installation. Takes about as long as it takes to take the air cleaner cover off. I do recommend using a generous amount of dielectric grease on the plugs. Initially, I really seen a difference in the throttle response. Just like it's supposed to be...crank-it and it's instant acceleration. I don't notice it much any more, since I am used to it. Works for me!
I spoke with a V&H tech recently about a different subject. While talking about various things, he told me that the Throttlepack is their best selling item. I do not own one myself, but it must be good from all I hear.
Put one on my 2010 Ultra Classic. Love it. It will get rid of the lag on take off. I don't know if I would call it a cheap addition. After I installed it I thought it was more of a $89.95 addition. Maybe the price will come down in the future.
We have a 10 streetglide that always rode responsive to me but we put on a throttlepak just to see if we could notice any difference and we could not tell. The bike rides just as good to me as it always did. Perhaps some bikes lag more than others. I do have one throttlepak in stock for $185 with free shipping to forum members if anyone is interested.
