Default Cruise kit for 07 street glide

I have been having problems locating a cruise control kit for my 07 street glide as im sure alot of people are having since harley discontinued the part. I have heard there is a way to convert the cruise kit for the 08-later kit by switching the plug on one of the harnesses. Has anyone done this or know how to do this? Or does anyone have any better ideas? thanks

Rider,

I had cruise installed on my 07 street glide and the Indy shop I took it to had to build the kit from individual parts. The HD catalog doesn't have a kit for 2007s since that year is kind of an oddball. Price was still comparable to the kit in the catalog.

Cheers

Throttle locks are fairly cheap and work ok.

I agree. I had one on my v-star. I only used it for 10-15 mins at a time. I like the control of keeping my wrist into it. Good luck in your quest OP

Look at this post which covers in good detail what needs to be done to convert a kit for 06 touring models... 08's are TBW and I don't think they are adaptable...

Found this place while I was searching for the same thing. Might want to call and see if they still have them.

I have an 07 RG, you guys sayn I cant get any replacement parts for it if I have an issue?
Electronic cruise is the way to go, I was on a 2 week trip to mid west and ran the cc 90% of the time, even makes for a challange trying to run it thru the sweepers, sharpens the skillset.

FYI.... I installed new bars over this past winter and added the cruise controll while I was at it. At that time I called three dealerships, only one took the time to do a part search. Back then there were only like 3 left in the entire US. Harley dose not make them anymore. Good luck...

So, is there any way one of you could help me with this problem.... It seems like THEY DON'T EXIST?!

How can that be? I can buy parts for any of my other bikes, but not an 07 touring bike??
