Default Road Glide w/ trike triple trees

For those that have done this mod when going to a 23" front, how much of the fairing bracket do you have to trim? The reason I ask is withe the lower trike triple in place the bracket limits the rotation of the trees severely. With the stock trees installed the bracket is actually what stops the steering head at the end of its rotation. I can see that I will have to take some material off, but not sure how much. Anyone who has done this mod themselves, chime in please. I am in the lab this weekend... forks , trees, wheels, brakes etc.... Thanks

Be careful! Without raking the neck there is a chance you can get a wobble at higher speeds. To do it correct for a 23 you need 7 degrees in the neck and 7 degrees in the trees.

I hear you. I stared at the computer for countless hours and figured fromwhat I read that I would give this method a try. I have the parts already and the bike is torn down, so now its just a matter of mechanics. The problem of the fairing bracket I would expect would be soley for the rg as the sg fairing is mounted differently. With that said, what physically stops stearing head rotation on a street glide (i.e. from right lock to left lock)?
