Spotlamps Blowing Lighting Fuse

Spotlamps Blowing Lighting Fuse
On my 2000 Road King the spots have started to blow the 15amp lighting fuse. I've run the halogen H-D lens housings for years. This began when I put in some high-powered Hella H3 lamps, replacing the HD halogen bulbs. I've since gone down to standard H3 bulbs and it still does it.
I've checked continuity within each of the shells, wiggled the wires around with the lamps on, checked voltage to the bulbs, but haven't gone any deeper. I can ride all day long without the spots on with no issues. When I leave the house with them on, the fuse blows within a mile.
Anyone run across this before, or have any suggestions?
Thanks!!!

Perhaps your wiring is weak from all the years of heat from the high wattage bulbs. A suggestion would be to disconnect one bulb at a time and ride it and see if the fuse blows, determine which on is the culprit and trace that wiring. If both of them are the cause I would check the main power feed to the passing light switch.
All in all check any and all of your electrical connections including grounds, probably have some corrosion, especially on a 13 yo bike. Hope this helps
