I really like the looks of the 12" Klock Werks but the reviews I've read are pretty sketchy. I'm about 6'1" and I think it may be too short for me. Ive also looked at the 14" Cee Glide from Cee Baileys, the Windsplitter and the Windvest. I ran a LRS on my Road King it it was pretty nice also. Id like to run the shortest shield possible but still have good protection. What are you running? Have you tried others and how did they work for you?

 

I'm 6' & 32" inseam. I've ran 14" WV since day one with no problems. I run the HD Wind Deflectors & HD Air Baffle.

 

Got to agree with the WV 14 for your height...... lowers will also help a lot with buffeting as well as these http://sanchoswings.com/

I'm 5'10" and run a WV 12 ..... in the summer. I could run the 14, but I usually slouch, so the 12 works for me.

When it starts getting cold I put on my Clearview GT large. I look through that one, and if I still smoked, I could light a cigar with a Bic lighter at highway speeds behind it.

The best thing to do is sit on your bike and have someone help you do some measuring. Just because your 6' 1 doesn't mean another person that is 6' 1 will have the same torso length. You want the windshield to hit you about the tip of the nose so you can see over it. A recurve type windshield will allow you to run a shorter windshield. I'm 6' and ran a 10" Freedom Shield on my limited. It was perfect. Send John an e-mail at Freedom Shields, he will hook you up. Plus if it isn't right when you get it you can exchange it or return it as long as you left the plastic protector on it. He's a great guy and makes an awesome windshield. Much thicker than the Harley crap and doesn't flex much at all.

I've gone through 2 windshields. I am 6'2" with a 34" inseam.

I ran the CeeBailey and liked the performance, the only problem was the dark tint while riding at night.

6' with a 32" inseam. Run a Clearview 10" tinted, recurve shield on a '11 SG. Works very well and if it ever needs to be replaced, I'll get the same one. Takes care of the buffeting on the slab and matches the lines of the bike.
