bought mine at pep boys for $79, works great on bikes and even better at lifting the side of a car up.

Yup, one of my riding buddies grabbed this lift at Pepboys. It worked really well when we did apes on his Fatboy. I do remember he said it was a little high, and he had to lean the bike away from it to fit under the frame, but once it was on there, it worked great.

Just recently too, we used it to jack up one side of his SUV at a time to change out the summer/winter wheels. Made it a breeze.

As for me, I just got the Sears yellow jack, free shipping to the house, for $180. It was 5% off last week online, and I found another coupon online somewhere.

You like your Yellow Jack? Man, I bought one a couple years back and used it only once. It held the bike but the aluminum construction of the support arms just wouldn't let the bike remain stable anytime I touched it. Just washing the bike would cause it to rock back and forth like a dime store hobby horse. Got to say the worst tool purchase I've ever made. If I had a dirt bike it would have been great but a 900 lb Harley is a bit much. The bad part is it's not a cheapo jack. I finally broke down and got a J&S. It was pricey but it really is worth the price.

That is EXACTLY what I was thinking. And I agree with other comments, it doesn't look wide enough to be very stable.

I bought the red Sears jack on sale two years ago for $99.00. Very happy with it.

I'm going to get a front wheel chock for fluid changes. I would want very wide stand mounts if I decide to remove a wheel. Can't really drain all the fluids at once with a jack either.
