Stealer lives up to mo****r...
After building the 96 motor to a 103 stage II with S&S 551 cams, I managed to upload the map for the 103 stage II with 255 configuration (which should be pretty darn close). Bike seems to be running lean and it cranks a tad bit more before starting. (I started it after the build with the 96 stage I dyno tune in the ECM and she fired right up.)
Not being the sharpest knife in the drawer I find it difficult to understand the pro tuner (harley) I'm using. Also being a worry wart about such things I decided to call the local shop to see what they would charge for a dynotune I could break the motor in with and then a regular performance dynotune. Service guys says $250 for the break-in tune. A bit steep in my estimation, but I'll buy that for piece of mind (of which I have little left). After 1000 miles I can bring it back for the performance tune. But, as I built the motor, the dynotune will cost me about $200 more (can you say 6 Ben's??) than if "they" the shop, had built it. WTF?? Is this a normal thing???? I paid $400 for my last dyno there, and I believe it was a pretty good tune; I was satisfied....but $600 just because I built the motor???? Sounds suspiciously like male cattle do do to me! |
Okay, I'll bite. Why is the title censored for the word M O N I K E R??

makes for a more interesting title I guess.
call another shop. Why waste time with a dealer whose focus is on "cookie cutter" bikes-- you want someone who understands the changes you've made, the build and will go over it with you. cost is another matter call around. mike |

"N I K E" is almost certainly on the list because douchebag spammers love to advertise their knockoff shoes, etc on various forums.
