Can anyone tell me definitively if an air cleaner cover from a pre-2008 (2007 and earlier) will fit on a 2008 and later backing plate/filter?

I got myself a 2008+ throttlebody to go TBW and I was considering buying the stage 1 backplate/filter and I need to figure out a cover. I see many from 06 and 07, but very few that indicate 08+

 

most covers mount from the center captured nut on the filter---- even the ones that "look" like they have 5 screws mount to a plate that mounts to that center bolt.

so if going with a conventional filter, then should do... just about any cover from mid 80's will fit if it'll fit over the filter

Have a older carburated cover off a 88 cu. on my 08 96 cu. It is a planer face and has a cut out on the bottom edge.

 

Running an '07 Dyna cover on my '10 Ultra.... as said, center bolt works on a number of years/models. Go for it.........

 

I have the cover off of my 02 Standard on my 09 FLHTP 103.
