I'm puzzled!
I thought the 2009 touring Harley's didn't have a cat in the stock header pipes? While at the dealers yesterday getting the rear brake light switch replaced I had a conversation with the tech that usually works on my '09 Ultra Classic. I asked him after a Stage 1 what was the next performance upgrade. He said cams and get rid of the cat in the stock header pipes. What’s up with that? I’ve been thinking all of this time the ‘09’s did have the cat.

I'm pretty sure the '09 HD's destined for California had cats. I believe some of the export models did, also.

Your tech don't know shine-ola.
|
Another example of a Tech not knowing the product line.

Thanks guys! |
In 2009 all cali, cvo, and international touring bikes had the cats in the header.

Maybe the tech was from Cali??

Maybe your tech had a "liquid lunch"...;)
Above posts pretty much sum things up = no cat in your 09, unless the mentioned exceptions apply. |
