Since the custom is basically the same as the Classic I would go with the classic aux lights. That way down the road when you scar up those pretty leather bags you can put hard bags on it and it will be a ROAD KING.
Used from various sources, bike forums, ebay, craigslist, etc. or new from one of the Harley shops offering discounts. I have used Zanotti Motor Company but I hear they are going out of business soon. I put hard bags on my Custom several years ago.
I want to put hard bags on it too. Where can I get them for the best price? Vivid black.
I have a set I bought new from my local Harley dealer. I put them on my 2011 RKC for three months then traded for a Street Glide. Watch for them in the Buy/Sell section within the week along with a Hoppe fairing, Corbin Solo, etc...
i was wondering the same thing about lights. but i am doing handle bars first. then ill wonder more about the lighting. i did install HID headlight, wow what a difference! and i didnt pay the Stealer prices. i got a great source for HID for bike and cars.
One the best accessories I installed on my RK Custom was the auxiliary/passing lights. I went with the traditional style and I also scrounged up some bullet style turn signals to mount under them and did away with the handlebar mounted turn signals. I also wired them to the left toggle switch near the handlebar cover so I could turn them on and off if I wanted to.
To me, it was money well spent.
No matter which style you get, you'll notice a huge difference in road visibility when night riding. Can't go wrong...
