Default Cool Weather Riding

Anybody enjoy riding in cooler weather as much as me? Up here in New England I've been putting miles on my bike the last few days and I just can't get enough of it. Our bikes run at there absolute best in nice cool weather. I've been riding in like 35-45 degrees early evening and the bike is just a beast, fun, fun, fun. As long as you bundle up right. You souther state guys don't get this that often but you guys can ride year round so I guess it's a wash.

Depends on what you call cool, this is the best time of the year to ride here in FL, temps are finally in the 60's and 70's, will only get a little lower, 35-45 is cold as far as I'm concerned, lol.

Don't know if I've been riding as much as you, but yeah, so far the riding here in the NE (at least NY) has been great! Have to take advantage of it while you can. As a matter of fact, I'll be heading out in just a few minutes.

I actually prefer when it is a bit cooler out. Then you can wear your gear without getting so cursed hot. Also in ND, when it is cooler there are no bugs. That way after 200 miles or so my white bike is still white, not shades of green and yellow from bug guts.

Yeah, I love cool (40s) riding. The bike runs great, I don't mind wearing the gear, and there aren't a pile of bikes clogging up my routes.

I put mine away for the winter recently....there's hardly any crotch rockets to flip off now.

The salt is the killer for me as well. I made that mistake a couple of years ago; didn't realize the was small traces of salt on the ground and ended up with small specs on a bunch of the chrome. Still have to replace upper and lower rocker box and trans side cover. Real PITA. Once the salt goes down the biek won't come out unless we have had a good rain to wash it away.
