Paul Yaffe's Monkey Bagger Bar assistance please.

I’ve read a lot of posts and viewed tons off pictures however, for those who have the 10 inch and 12 inch installations here is my question.

If the bars are installed and pulled back as far as clearance will allow, what is the rise and pull back measurement compared to the stock bars?

Couldn't give the exact numbers, but that's pretty much my set up: 10" Yaffe bars, pulled back as much as possible without hitting the tank at full lock.

But besides the obvious "about 2 1/2 inches higher", they width is only a smidge wider than stock, like half an inch. But the grips are more straight side-to-side than stock, like drag bars. (which is exactly how I like it)
Not entirely sideways, but not angled back like stock grips.

Edit: check the photos in my gallery about my new tank dash. Has a couple good shots of how they sit.

That's sweet! Did you get more pull back with the new bars compared to the stock bars? I'm debating 10 or 12's myself. Stock cables and wires?

My 12" Monkeys

not sure how far they are pulled back, just enough to clear my klock works windshield. I'm 5'11'' and if I had my chioce I would have them pushed forward not pulled back...

12" and pushed up until they touch the fairing. I think they look best that way and I like the way they feel.

Hey Pit those look really good. I have been thinking about getting them for my Ultra and now seeing them I think I will. What about cables and wiring?

Thanks
Joe

When I called yaffe they said 10s would work without changing cables but 12s would need the cables changed. I installed 10s and they worked fine.

I ended up getting a new clutch cable just for piece of mind, but rest of wires are just fine on the 10".

If you take the time and are careful about how you route it, the stock clutch cable works.

Question for those that did their install. Is it hard to feed the wire harness thru the welded bend on the bars? It seems it would be. I have to install 12" on my sons bike, damn Santa.....lol
