Chrome front end...options?

2011 FLTRX...have decided on some Coastal Moto wheels but seems pointless to add these without the chrome front end. Was looking at the HD kit but was wondering if there are any other options? I thought I has seen something from Ness or something like that. As well, difficulty of installation? I have the manual and would probably tackle it myself. Thanks!

Look into a chrome exchange. I did my forks and bells for under $200 with no down time other than the install. Install was pretty easy. Not sure if your getting a bigger wheel, but you may want to look into lowering as well. Also a good time to swap out the springs in the forks.

I love my full chrome front end.

UltraDune,

We have chrome options listed under Bagger Central on our site. Check us out if you are looking for lower legs and as always let us know if we can help you, Ryd Safe!

Thanks for all the replys. Like the idea of after-market, getting tired of lining HD's pockets. Going to go with a 21" front wheel and from what I have been told the fender will not need to be moved? Am I wrong? PistonPuller, where did you get chrome exchange for that price? I have researched a few off of ebay and they seem a bit more pricey. Again, thanks.

I love the flush axle and smooth lines of these legs.
You will need to drill out the rear fender mounting hole to make sure the tire won/t rub on the back side.

eBay. The guys name was rick9662 he charged about $150 for the legs and $40 for the bells. When I first installed my 21 I put the stock fender on and it fit fine without drilling any holes. No rubbing or anything. I since went to a wrapped fender which is awesome. I lowered my front 1" to accommodate the bigger wheel

Aftermarket w/hidden axle, might as well go all the way.

And as long as you have the fender off, might as well level it and knock those lovely rivets off.

Nice lookin' cycle TexasSG. Question, how do you like the Avon's, especially the 21" front. Haven't decided on them or the metzeler's yet. Ride much different than stock and how about ABS, any issues? I love this forum but it's costing me money every day. Love it!!
