Project "Cheapskate"

Thanks to Fatmat for the Chrome axle covers, smoked shorty windshield, and Live to Ride gas door. All installed today.

Loaded a map into the PCIII, filled her up with 93 Octane, and she fired right up!!! Idles around 1000 rpm, with about 34 psi oil pressure.
So far only a couple of glitches, gas gauge is not working and the low fuel light is on. I'm wondering if something happened when I changed out the fuel filter?
2nd glitch front brakes are fighting me. I ended up having to put a master cylinder kit in. After I bled the system after the caliper rebuild and new pads I got a good feel on the lever but then it would gradually bleed off until the lever was against the throttle. Now I have a firm lever that doesn't bleed down but It's almost to the grip. I've used my mighty vac, but I must have air bubbles all the way at the top of the brake line. I've tied the lever up in the compressed position and I'm going to let it sit overnight.
I'm waiting on one last piece that is back ordered from the dealer, It ties the rear of the bag supports to the fender. Next weekend I'll get her down off the workbench for the 1st time since Christmas and get a test ride!!! Can't wait.

One thing, you may have overlooked on those brakes. I only say this, cause it happened to me.
Maybe the pistons are sticking. Lubrication and cleanliness are key to keep the calipers operating properly.
Mine had the same or similar characteristics, I bled them about ten times. Turned out to be sticky calipers...........
I would love to (and probably will at some point in time) do what you have done. I don't have the paint booth, or paint skilz, but I can do most everything else. I would just have to farm out the color.
Your journey has been inspiring and I have learned a TON reading through you build.
Thanks for sharing and I hope she give you many many miles and smiles.
