Default HD York, PA plant blackout dates?

Me and two other riding partners are planning on making a trip to PA this summer to go on the production line tour of the Touring bikes at the York, PA plant. Does anybody know when they stop the tour for the model year change over and when they begin the tour again after the model year change over?

Default Factory Tour

Been there twice and its worth the time.
Here is some info and a phone number... Hope this helps:

Harley Davidson factory tours are held 9am - 2pm, Monday through Friday. Tours are not offered on major holidays, during year end maintenance or during production changes. From early June through late August, tours are available on Saturdays from 9:30am - 1pm. Prior to making a trip to the tour center, call 877-883-1450 for current tour times.

We rode down last summer for the tour, only to find out that they were closed for the move from the old place to the new museum/gift shop. No mention of it on their website, nothing. One group was there from Louisiana and came, among other things, specifically for the tour. They had even called to find out ahead. Understandably, they were pissed. I guess just make sure when you call you ask specifically for the dates that you're planning on being there. We're going to do it again this summer, hopefully not to be disappointed this time.

Just went a few months ago, keep in mind they are on a 4-10 schedule and don't run production on Fridays

We were there in early June of 2010, they had only the assembly line blocked off from the tour as a result of the model year change over. However the rest of the plant was still included in the tour and was open.

I’ve been to Milwaukee and York a few times. I always call ahead.

Doing Milwaukee and Kansas City this year. I’ll call ahead again.

End of July shut down for model change over and August is spent on getting new bike production going. Like it has been said call first.

If you go on a Friday you will not see the tooling working but you can see the factory floor and lines. Better to go when all of it is running.
