Talking inner fairing

2005 ultra,, will a inner from a newer model fit??? i know i will have to make the hole for the throttle cables to go thru,, but how about everything else?? radio hole is it the same size? are the bends the same so it will bolt back in and look right? (no gaps tight fit),, the reason i ask is i have been lookin on e-bay for one to buy so i can paint it with no down time to send out to be painted,,found some decent ones but all seem to be off of newer bikes,, look the same but dont want any surprises,,or if anybody got one from a repaint that they would like to get rid of preferably with the switch cap,,pm me,,thanks

Yes it will fit.
As you say you will have to put a hole in it for the throttle cable. That's it.
I have replaced mine so I know it fits perfectly.

Just be clear on whether or not it is from a Street Glide as it will have the holes for the fairing mounted mirrors.
