Well just an update...that put's this thread to sleep, anyway.

I snoozed...and I lost. Bike sold before I could get back out and finalize.

So to all the prognosticators; you were right.

The search continues.

You've been listening to the wrong people. ABS is a must have in my book and has saved MANY lives. Do a search on here for ABS and you'll see many that wouldn't be without it.

Any additional safety items we can get are welcome.

 

Wassup8687 is right. ABS is a must have. It saved my life as a motor officer. Anyone that tells you that it tells you that "it works only below 10 MPH" is flat out wrong. In addition to being a motor officer, I am an accident reconstrucionist. Get the ABS.

 

It's not our fault you live in Michigan. It was 82* here today. Just had to rub it in a little.

 

Dealers ask insane prices for used bikes and of course rape the person who traded it in. You are better off buying private. I would offer no more than 16K for that bike.

 

Don't haggle just ask for a 1000.00 in Harley cash for chrome and other goodies..those look like stock pipes so you might ask for some louder slip ons and the re-map....Id use in store incentives rather than trying to get them down ....they get the merchandise well below the cost so they will not be out as much and in a good position to come out further ahead...the asking price is fair if not great.
