Talking Auxiliary wire harnes to keep on w/brights

I was installing the new wire harness to keep aux lights on with bright lights P/N 69200441. The instrutions say to remove the outer fairing and show the plug you need to get to on the clutch side near the bracket. After spending an hour looking and checking every connector there, I went to my manual and realized the connector was the one under the swith panel.

So save some time and just pull the switch panel!

See figure on page 7-51 of manual (mine is an 09 manual).

Hope this helps .

Purchased one this week and planning on putting it in his evening. The H-D mechanic said that he put a few in without removing anything. Brought me to a bike, pulled on a wire harness and said "this is it if you can reach yours. If you cant reach it just loosen your outer fairing so your hand can fit in". It is ontop the top triple tree of the right side, should be connected to the switches on the right.

Just finished, had to pull the outer fairing. The harness was stuffed up back in there and I cound not see it from underneath like the one on the showroom floor. Took about 20 minutes to complete.

I had mine done the old way, moving one wire from one area to another, etc... there use to be a diagram on here about it. I love the modification, it is about time they make it easy.

Should've ran the "free" connection while you had fairing off & returned the unneeded harness for a rebate...

Thought I'd subscribe and add the attached drawings. The colour wiring diagram is curtesy of Dawg.
