It doesn't get any warmer than Phoenix and my bike came with one.

 

Thanks a lot everyone, and after reading all the responses I remembered seeing the pigtail back when I installed the J&M amp and speaker kit a while back and wondered what it was for, And i think i just tucked it back in. I'll see once my things arrive.

My brother bought a H-D Tender in 2005 and it came with both connectors (alligator clips and bolt-on).

I bought a H-D Tender in 2007 and it only came with the alligator clip connecter.

Had to buy the bolt-on connector separately. Of course I then had to return the connector because the dealer had already installed one.

 

Guess I stand corrected.
I was talking to a guy that bought at a local dealer here in CT. Said he cant find/didnt have one.
The dealer said its cause the bike came from down south in a warmer climate. huh, guess he was BSing...

 

When I bought my Night Train (while in Iraq in '09), the selling dealer installed the pigtail as a matter of course. They install them on ALL their bikes. When I got my Street Glide last year, the lead was NOT included- hadda buy it myself and install it.

And I just got a Battery Tender Plus last week, and it DID come with the battery harness (I think it might be a bit longer than the HD part) along with alligator clips that can be swapped onto the cable.

 

Mine came with one installed from the dealer. When I bought the Battery Tender, it came with one as well. I attached that one too.

 

My bike had one installed on setup. Asked about it and they said they install the tender leads on all the new bikes. Good deal

 

just bought a new Street Bob and my dealer installed it on mine.

 

The pigtail was installed on my bike installed on the right side frame tube just ahead of the side cover. I can confirm that it was a dealer install. It is a handy place to plug in an emergency accessory like the H-D air compressor.
