I am all about additions to the bike that serve to improve the ride experience. But for the life of me, I cannot see what these little deflectors do that the lowers do not already do.

Looks like they are mounted in front of an already effective wind deflector...the lower. What am I missing here???

Geez, they already have your comments posted on their website and linked this thread as a review. How come they don't 08 and prior ultras? The changes in 09 were not such that would affect these deflectors I don't believe.

I just ordered a set from Joe. I am going to put the black ones on my 08 ultra. I am convinced that they will fit all ultras and not just 09 and up. I spoke with Joe on the phone today and he advised that he only stated 09 and up because his friend for which he made them for had a newer model bike. I will post as to whether they fit (which I'm sure they will) when I receive them. There was no changes in 09 that would warrant a fitment issue in this area.

The bike in the picture looks like the lowers don't have the part that runs out on the crash bar that is part of the cap.
Are the new lowers made without that extended part on the caps?

Ordered a set in Black for my Vivid Black Ultra this morning.

I was hoping that by ordering early, they would ship today, but just got an email saying they won't ship until Tuesday.

Joe must be getting busy.

These look like they'll solve the problem of wind between the fairing and the lowers that hits me in the knee. Ordering mine this afternoon!
