Can't find the oil leak
#21
Well....I found the leak. Inner primary is still the culprit. Removed the cover and inner cover. Very clear where its coming from. Not sure yet why but I either don't have mainshaft bushing on all the way or it's the wrong bushing/race for this application -
Thanks everyone. I hate an oil drip....

thanks!
After reading this post this is where I found mine! Been looking for a couple days now. Both the bolts you could turn by hand. I tightened the down and wiped clean. If this doesn't fix it I guess the head pipes have to come off.

My solution to leaking stator plug...
Imskier2 hit the nail on the head! My stator wires were also being inadvertently pulled to the side due to the wire that runs under the bike (in protective plastic wrap just above and to the left of the stator plug) being zip tied under the bike to the frame. This was causing pressure on the stator wires therefore pulling the plug to the side. The wires of the plug were also pulled pretty tight and zip tied just before leading to the regulator. Dealer wanted $650 to replace stator. Found this thread, un zip tied the wires, made sure the plug was firmly in... And wala... No more leak. Pisses me off the tech at Harley obviously knew what was causing the leak and failed to disclose it. Dealers? Stealers! Thanks to all those who post in these forums. I really appreciate it!
