Made a tour pak relocator

Hello all, here a few pics of the tour pak relocator plate I made. I already had the alum plate and added 2.20 worth of ss hardware.

Disclaimer: I made this for my 2011 ultraclassic. It works for me. I do not take any responsibility for anyone making one for their own bike.

Looks good!! How far back did it move you back?

I made to go a max of 2.5". I can go less by sliding the tour pak up to next holes. 2.5" is about the max without doing something different with the wiring.

That looks really sturdy setup......how think is that plate?

.160" alum. It is plenty strong enough as it is bolted to the original mounting bracket. Only a small part of it hangs off the back.
Had one guy said he used a stop sign from a construction site. That was 1/8" thick.

Great idea. You should patent that.

We already have a patent pending on this. :)

It is a very solid design, over 1000 installed world wide over the last several years.

OP, nice work. We use polished stainless in a very similar design, but the aluminum should work well for you. You passenger is going to LOVE it.

Thanks for the info man........that seems like a sturdy setup......where did you get that alum from? Lowes/Homedepot?

Have no plans on a patent. Not really my idea. Kinda got the idea from the Harley Talking forum.
Kevin from DK this is different from your design. One of your staff sent me pics of your product and instructions. It is a very good and strong product. I was all set to buy your product, but I already had this piece of alum and lots of time to work on this project. In reality it only took about 2 hours to design and make this piece. As with all things I changed the design to work for me.
This post was not to take business away from anyone. As we all know Harley riders like to tinker with their rides. This is what I did to make it more comfortable for my wife.
