The only switch that would be nice to be illuminated is the Start switch. Nice when killing bike in dark. When I first bought my bike, I hit the Starter instead of the Kill switch. GRRRR!

Otherwise you should memorize positions and keep your eye on the road.

No need for them to be lit up your not supposed to have to look at them to operate the bike. In Ca part of the test is to identify all handlebar controls without looking automatic fail if you miss one

I am with the others that indicate you should know where they are and how to use them with your eyes shut. I can't believe that anybody riding an HD would need to have a lighted switch to tell them where their turn signal is.

Last time I looked my car turn signal switch, wiper switch, horn, and even cruise weren't lit - got to figure those out in the dark in my car too.

Personally if I had to have the switches lit to be able to see where they were at night then I wouldn't be riding at night.

Last year I bought a 2007 GoldWing with 85K. Took on the task of changing burned out bulbs with LED's. I assumed all bikes would have illuminated controls. After 35 years of Honda I jumped to Harley, was I disappointed to find out the controls are not illuminated. GoldWing controls are simpler for switching from speaker to headset and other similar functions. Starting to have some regrets but too late now. Though I do like the fact Harley Trikes come from the factory not an add on.

Might as well add to this resurrected thread. Harley now sells back lit switch clusters.

Thanks. Found back lit switches for 2016 FLHR. Similar to what my 2016 Trike has, except for the joysticks. Though it appears there are removable blanks. Have you seen any other back lit switches? (Part Number 71500250)

I always have to laugh that it seems like the folks with 1-10 posts seem to have no problem finding what they are looking for but most of the rest of us cant seem to figure out how to use a search engine.
