They typically don't blow until closer to 139,000 miles.

Interesting note- went to tech seminar Q/A at HD dealership. Tech said that there was not that much dirty oil left in bike when oil change is done.
I too use one of those oil scavenger devices when I change oil in my FLTR. I asked the service manager at the local Harley store if he had any experience with them. He said that it was "totally unnecesary and a waste of time because there was not over an ounce or two of oil remaining in the sump and oil gallies". Imagine my surprise when I measured the old black oil left in the engine when I used the scanvenger the first time and it turned out to be 28 oz. That is damn near 1/2 of one of those big 2 liter (64 oz.) soda pop bottles.

I don't know when the original owner did the first oil change on mine, but it's good to know that I've got another 35,000 miles before I have to worry about it!
