The New Phase 7 LED Headlight Reviewed
The completed Phase 7 review is available at:
www.bogiesreviews.webs.com
It takes a while to download - it's a large file...
Compares the JW/HD LEDs to the new, redesigned Truck-Lite/Kuryakyn LEDs being called the Phase 7
Enjoy.
Any and all comments welcome.

Bogie,
Thank you for another great review!
I do have one question about adjusting the headlight though... The Harley manual says to put the center of the bright spot 2.1" below the headlight height center at 25 feet away.
The TL7 has a "V" pattern at the bright spot. Where is the center (top, middle or bottom of "V")???
I've asked TL tech support also but I figured you might already know.
Thanks again.

What I found -
I originally aimed the HL as you see in the photo - the horizon just above the center line of the headlight height. That put the height midpoint of the 'V' at the HL center line.
When I rode it to the night shoot, I discovered it was too high... so I brought it down to have the horizon at the HL center line - putting just the upper tips of the 'V just above.
This works for me... everyone will be a bit different, so I'd say start with the horizon at the HL center line, ride it, see how it looks and adjust from there.

Great review bogie,
I don't if I missed it in your past reviews, but it sounds like the phase 6 is better for daylight riding. I have a phase 7 on order but have not yet received it. In your estimation, would I be better off canceling the 7 going with the 6 as most of my riding is during the day.

There is somewhat less noticeability in the daytime with the P7, but the night time improvements are well worth it, even if for just the occasional night ride. That type of decision really can only be made by you.
Sorry, I know that doesn't help much...
