Default Street Glide question

How is it for low speed maneuverability? Reason i ask is i saw some guy drop one trying to get it out of the parking lot.

IMO the Touring Line are better handling bikes than the FL Softails at all speeds. I find my Road Glide is more nimble as soon as Im moving compared to my fatboy. At a stop they are heaver but that disapears as soon as your feet are up on the boards.

I find mine to be well balanced and feels to have a pretty low center of gravity. That said, if it starts to go, it's weight will be unforgiving (i.e. hard to save).

As the second poster said, its all about practice. The touring bikes are pretty easy to maneuver once you start rolling, but your own experience will be the key. Now...depending on your leg length, moving it around on your feet might be problematic, but not under power. Dont forget...the touring bikes are the geometry you see all the cops doing those crazy low speed cone circuits on!!!!

touring bikes are heavy, slow stability is always a challenge.

The front ends are specifically designed to help with this.

The size of the riders makes little difference, check out some of the youtube videos from jerry paladino, "motorman"

All the new touring bikes handle great at any speed. Remember in slow speed riding like parking lots, forget the front brake. Use only the rear brake, and you will be surprised how good they handle.

They are sensitive to using the front brake while turning at very slow speeds.
With the extra weight of the fairing they can put you down fast. This is not a flaw, just a learning curve. While turning at parking lot speeds, stay off the front brake.

I know my 2011 SG out handles my old Sportster.
I've always been impressed with my SG's handling.
