A little bit but not much.. You can use a hole saw to saw out the disc in the middle of the muffler which helps a bunch. They are still pretty quiet. Need to go in from the head pipe side to get to it.

I had them on my 03 RKC for 3 years......thought they were plenty loud?? But agreed, they won't get much louder. A good power producing muffler though.

You talkin' about these?

I tried them and they were the quietest after market muffler I tried. I had cars puling into my lane cuz they didn't hear me..

Performance wize, they'd probably do good on a 88 ci stage 1. They aren't as good as others even with the plug knocked out on a 95 ci high compression motor.. Too restrictive.. Probably would be as bad on a mild 103.. Stock camed bike will like see less difference.

ok I might try drilling out the plug on the kw, they are close to stock for sound, I got some se street cannons, they sound sweet through the rpm range but don't quiet down enough at highway speed, to much drone at hwy speed. Is there anything in between the khrome werks and the cannons for sound?? thanks

I had 3.5 inch Krome Werks touring mufflers. They were quiet.
I blacked out my exhaust and bought a set of 4 inch Krome Werks power plus mufflers that have their performance baffles. They are about as loud as I'd want it and I noticed a performance gain in the seat of my pants. They have a deep tone. When going through a tunnel, the deep sound hurts my ears.

Do you have an aftermarket header? If not and you're not planning on it, the "flow" of the slip-ons really won't matter. Basically what you're getting then is a change in sound.

OP, what are your intentions/goals?

i think I am looking for that miracle muffler that they don't make, lol, what I would really like is a muffler that roars when on the throttle hard and when cruising at speed sound just like stock mufflers or a little louder when riding on the bike....

Then I think the Khrome Werks will be close to what you want. They have one of the better sounds for a muffler that isn't obnoxious for touring, but they are plenty loud under throttle. The 3.5 HP plus (I know they have re-tooled their mufflers a bit though in the last year or so) are great. I switched to the 4" that I had laying around for my hotrod 107" build that I have. Sounds even better and deeper.

You should check out the old style crusher mufflers from IRON PONY. Not sure if they are still in stock, but I picked up a set just cuz they are $200. Will use them eventually on my 2015. The crusher mellow is a great sounding exhaust too that isn't obnoxious while touring.
