Default Touring V-Logo Front Fender Rail

I'd like to put this on my 09 RKC, how does it attached to the fender? Do I have to do any drilling?
And what is up with the "V" logo?

You can get it at Lake Shore HD for $79.

I have it, but it was installed b4 I picked up the bike. It wouldn't be hard to do though.

What's up with the V? Don't know for sure, but I would say it's about the V-twin engine.

While your are at it, go ahead and get rid of the cheap looking front fender rear skirt and replace it with a V-logo skirt. I went V-logo everywhere for my trim theme. Rear bumper as well came off and replaced with a V-logo, passenger footrest covers are V-logo, etc. I just like the V-logo but there are others as well like HD, Skulls, etc.

No drilling, you just remove the 2 bolts on each side that hold the fender on. They attach on the inside using those bolts. Its not a difficult install, but if you dont take your front tire off when you put it on, you wont be able to bend the tabs on the plate that prevent the bolts that hold the fender on from backing out while you ride.

One option that might give you some room if you dont want to take the tire off might be to just remove your brake calipers

I think the "V" is a Road King logo, at least it's on most Road King accessories
