harleys combination analog speedo/tach? 5"

Has anyone had any experience with harleys speedo/tach. part# 70900070.
I have seen them on display at the dealer. Well, of course they say they should install it. But if you read the description, in the 2012 parts catalog, it says a direct plug in, and that they include a data transfer cable to upload initial mileage. Sounds easy. And I really don't like other people working on my bike.
Anyone do this?
Really would like a tach on the road king.
Nice looking, and not terribly expensive. @$300
Thanks

Ordered on line and came with everything to install yourself. Nice to have for a Road King plus it tells you what gear from 1 through 6 you are in, not to mention a gazillion colors to choose from.

I've considered buying it in the past when doing mods but had to back burner it over other things I wanted more. I still read up about it when I see a thread on it.....eventually I will take the leap.

I bought one and installed it. If a bonehead like me can install it, anyone can.

I helped a buddy put one on his '12 RKC and it could not have been easier. Looks great and works great too. I wish there was a similar thing for my Ultra.

its a shit simple install.....just pull the left side cover plug the new speedo in to the data port and it will inport all the info it needs for the bike(comes with plug), unplug it and install it on the bike....it took all of a half hour including reading the instructions and going and finding the wife to show it off to....

I bought one with the bike new. I only let the dealer install it to get the 2 year warranty. I wanted the pretty box and did not get it.

That was on my list until I saw the gauges made by Madallion.

Might be worth a look. Great reviews on HDF too.

One more thing. I met the/a VP of Madallion in Daytona recently, very nice guy. I'm interested in the "Just Black" gauge, but it only comes with a black trim ring. He gave me his card and said to just call him and he'll send me a chrome ring once I've decided on my final purchase.

Thought that was good customer service.
