Default EG off balance

I've got an '03 EGC that seems to be way out of balance. If I'm going down the road, on a straight stretch, and leave go of the grips, I have got to move way to right on the seat to balance it. I've riden a long time, and never had a bike that was so far off. Seems to me that this condition would effect the handling all the time.

Check/adjust your alignment. Check your tires. Check/adjust your steering head bearing. Might help things quite a bit.

Like Dawg said, alignment. Have you replaced your rear tire lately, or adjusted belt tension. If the bike wants to track left, like you are experiencing (with no hands), the front leading end of your rear tire needs to be moved to the left. And visa versa, if the bike tracks to the right, move to the right. Done by the rear axle adjuster, of course. I learned this trick, from screwing with my Boss Hoss alignment issues. Good luck, Craig

I can't say that it takes off to the left, as much as it takes so much wieght shift to keep it upright. I do all of my own work, but maybe I should discuss this one with the dealer. I've got a new set of Michelin Commando II's in the garage, but wanted to wear these dunnies out first. Guess I'll wait till I change them over to procede.

PS; BIGDAVE, mine doen't have ears! LOL!
