OK guys - looking for a new cover for the noggin. Currently have my HD hybrid that came with the bike. As most, looking for less mushroom. Seen Outlaw advertising thinnest DOT, but wondered if anyone owns one or even a better looking one.

Skullcrush helmets are awesome. and a DOT sticker. there helmets don't pass dot because of padding thickness but they are by far the lowest "safe" helmet out there.

Never understood wearing a non DOT helmet, what's the point?

 

If you are looking at a 3/4 lid, I may suggest a "Daytona 3/4 helmet.
Oh yeah, they make a 1/2 helmet too.


For sure the smallest legal DOT lid out there.

I have a Daytona, it looks like the lowest profile DOT that I can see, but I'm changing to a Skull Crush. I don't see the point of wearing a novelty helmet either, but the Skull Crush, while not DOT approved, is safer than many DOT half helmets.

 

I was going to suggest checking out the DOT helmet thread in the softail section. A bunch of helmets get mentioned and there are some pics of dudes wearing a few.

 

I use a iron horse great helmet I just went down and got a dot sticker andthe price is rite www.ironhorse.com

 

Two points! Everyone doesn't like a rag tied around his head, and still wants some cover from the sun!
